FCCLA will be hosting a blood drive April 29 in the lower gym. If you are 16 or older and would like to donate please fill out the form you were emailed and you will be assigned a time to donate. There will also be a representative here on April 28th during lunch to sign students up.
Some statistics about blood donation:
*Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood.
*More than 41,000 blood donations are needed every day.
*A total of 30 million blood components are transfused each year in the U.S.
*The average red blood cell transfusion is approximately 3 pints.
*The blood type most often requested by hospitals is Type O
