PHS has a College Career Day every school year. As it so happens, the College Career Fair takes place took place at PHS on October 15 in the lower gymnasium. College and career representatives from many different universities came to visit and to provide students with information and applications regarding what universities they came from.

The representatives that visited were from the Air Force, Army, Ball State University, Brecia University, Campbellsville University, Cincinnati Christian University, Electricom, Farm Bureau, Fire Department, Franklin College, French Lick Resort, Hanover College, Indiana State Police, Indiana State University, Indiana Wesleyan University, ISM College Planning, IUS, Lincoln Tech, Lindsey Wilson College, Marines, McDonald Veterinary Clinic, McDonalds, Medco (American Senior Communities), Paoli Peaks, PJ’s College of Cosmetology, Purdue Extension, Southern Hills, Springs Valley Bank and Trust, St. Mary of the Woods, Trine University, University of Evansville, University of Indy, University of Louisville, USI and Vincennes University.

Students had lunchtime to make all the necessary contacts.

There were a few fun things in store for seniors at the fair. For the #BelieveInYourSelfie theme, seniors were invited to stop at the guidance table to get free t-shirts, and to take selfies at the fair with friends, representatives, and Rocky the Ram to post on #PHSCollegeCareer for chances to win some great prizes.

High school guidance counselor Brandon Crowder was very excited for the College Fair this year.

“We were excited about the opportunities the students had,” said Crowder.

The College Fair can help out a lot of students, especially those who do not have any idea about which college they would like to attend.

Senior Heather Brown discovered some interesting colleges to consider at the fair. “I like the University of Evansville because it has more opportunities,” said Brown.
