Senior Mason Deaton has been playing tennis since his seventh grade year. With that time Deaton has got a lot of practice and knows a few things about the game.
“The key to tennis is the footwork,” said Deaton.
Although Deaton does not plan to play tennis in college he still knows he will play for fun.
Being on a sports team not only shows the true meaning of teamwork but it also gives you a good chance to make good quality friends.
“What I’ll miss about tennis the most is playing four squares with all the guys,” said Deaton.
Even though this was his last year playing, Coach Aaron Reckelhoff thought very highly of him.
“I definitely think Mason was dedicated to improving and continuing to get better at tennis,” said Reckelhoff. “He showed up to more off-season workouts than any other player we had.”
