Indiana Continental Express (owned by Sonny and Deanna Kendall just north of Paoli) is serving as a collection point for donations to assist tornado victims and clean-up operations. They have made two deliveries already from the generosity of Orange Countians and will be accepting more at their business today (Monday) from 8 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday. (although Deanna indicated she would be happy to accept things for a later delivery.)
A teacher from Pekin, who is on the Town Council and is assisting in clean-up, just sent this list of needed items:
gas cards
rakes,
shovels
tarps
tree pruners
handsaws
plastic wheelbarrows
chain saw oil (2-cycle)
work gloves
hammers and nails
crowbars
As temporary trailers are brought in for shelter, he said mattresses will also be needed (how about an air mattress?) and that the Methodist Church mentioned the need for diapers and baby wipes.
