On March 16 through 20, all eighth grade students will be participating in vision screenings.
The state of Indiana requires yearly vision testing for all students in the eighth grade, per Indiana Code 20-34-3-12. Students will be screened one at a time by Paoli School Corporation Nurse Emme Moore.
“If a student wears glasses, he or she should bring them to the vision screening. Both near and far visual acuity testing is performed. Students who are unable to read the 20/30 line on any portion of the screening will be recommended for evaluation by an eye doctor,” said Moore.
