With the new school year beginning, school clubs have to adapt to all of the changes and new rules. NHS is one of the clubs that will be run a bit differently this year. Most of the meetings will be virtual or online for the beginning of the school year, for the safety of all involved.

“I think it will be a little more difficult [to get service hours], but there are always ways for kids to help out in their communities. Kids will have to be more proactive, and hopefully not wait too long to get started on their service hours,” said National Honor Society Advisor Melissa Higgins.

The NHS will be continuing their Buckets for Benefits laundry detergent fundraiser in order to raise money for Honor Society activities.

On Monday, September 14, the digital tapping ceremony was held to welcome the new members to the National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society. This event was videoed and is available on YouTube and on the Paoli High School Facebook page. On September 20 at 5 pm, the annual Induction Ceremony will be held in the auditorium. For everyone’s safety, there will be no refreshments or snacks being served and social distancing will be enforced.
