Lopez Looks to Make a Difference

Gracie Walls, Paolite Staff Writer

During the last week of February, freshman A.J. Lopez will be going on a mission trip to Ecuador. Joining other church congregations on the journey, Lopez and his father will be representing the Paoli Church of Christ.

While in Ecuador, Lopez’s father will be performing his duties as a physician, which will include giving people vaccines and treatment.

I will mostly be a guide or runner so that patients who need to be checked out know where to go. I will also be playing with kids and coming up with fun activities for them,” said Lopez.

Others attending the mission trip will be mainly acting as preachers.

“My dad is mainly doing deacon duty, or physical work for the church. We are going to improve the conditions of those that live in Ecuador and also to help nurture them in the ways of Christianity,” said Lopez.
