The Varsity Football team will go head to head against Boonville for their opening game.

Head Coach Neil Dittmer gives us a small piece of last year’s success.

We went 7-3 making it to the Sectional Championship,” said Dittmer.

Last year the team graduated 12 seniors, who were all starters and played an important role in their offensive and defensive line.

Dittmer explains how summer workouts went this year.

“We spent a lot of the summer trying to fill spots from a group that played a lot. We will need several newcomers to step up this year,” said Dittmer.

Senior Chris Nunez expresses his feelings about this game.

“I’m excited because it is our season opener and it is going to be a good year,” said Nunez.

Senior Nolan Walker also shows his feelings about this season.

Benales gives his dreams for this season.

Dittmer looks to his seniors as well as junior Trey Rominger to help lead the team this year.

Higgins briefly states what he thinks are going to be the biggest challenges this season.

“I feel like our biggest challenges might be communicating as a team and working together as a unit,” said Higgins.

This year’s roster includes: seniors Benales, Cook, Elliott, Hayes, M.
