The Hagen scholarship is a nationwide merit-based scholarship designed to provide recipients with the opportunity to graduate college debt-free. In addition, students will be provided with free workshops, free Schwab Brokerage accounts and will also provide students with a practical understanding of important life skills not typically covered in the school curriculum. 

To apply for the Hagen Scholarship you must be a U.S. citizen Must attend an eligible public high school and have a 3.50 cumulative GPA. Graduates must plan to enroll at an eligible four-year college or university the first semester following high school graduation. While in school, students must maintain a four year or less graduation schedule in college, work 240 hours in the twelve months prior to each fall semester in college, with the employment regularly scheduled under supervision for compensation. The applicant’s adjusted gross household income must not exceed $85,000. Applicants must provide a complete copy of the FAFSA and apply for Federal and State grants if eligible. Applicants must also not have a felony conviction.

“I highly encourage all PHS seniors to check the PHS website to look into it. And it never hurts to apply,” said Guidance Counselor Rachel Robinson.
