Last year the Lady Rams went 3-18 and 2-4 in the conference.

The Rams graduated six seniors last year. Seniors were Laykin Busick, Angie Ceja, Kylee Charles, Erica Coots, Kinsey McBride and Kacey McBride.

This year the roster includes seniors Jackie Crews, River Fleming, Ashleigh Garcia, Kenzie Gilliatt, Olivia Nale, juniors Nadia Garcia, Lily Hall, Savannah Key, Maddie Mayfield, sophomore Avery Crews, Haylie Gilliatt, Lupe Pacheco, Keeley Scott,  Jae Walker, Hannah Woolston, freshmen Tariana Burkhead, GracieLynn McKibbon, Amber Pennington, Abby Poe, and managers Emma McKibbon and Dyson Nichols.

The Rams will be looking for new leadership this year.

“We always look towards our seniors for leadership, but it will take every girl on the team to achieve the goals we set out for ourselves. It will start with Jackie Crews, Ashleigh Garcia, River Fleming, Kenzie Gilliatt and Olivia Nale setting the tone for our practices and how we prepare for our games,” said Varsity Head Coach Dittmer.

The team has started many new traditions including a dance moms pyramid and a dugout plant named Kujo.

“I want the underclassmen to enjoy all the team building activities we do like the dance mom’s pyramid or our plant Kujo,” said Garcia.

Dittmer shared his goals for this season.

“Our goals are to improve each game, be playing our best softball at the end of the year, as well as, compete for the PLAC title and a Sectional Championship,” said Dittmer.

The Rams have been putting in the work prior to their first game.

“We have been working on a little bit of everything to prepare for the season ahead. We do a little bit of offensive work and defensive work each day to keep improving,” said Fleming.

The Lady Rams will travel to Borden to face off against the Lady Braves starting at 5 p.m.
