During the first week of September, Junior High Cheerleading Coaches Brooke Goerres and Rachel Robinson held tryouts for this year’s basketball cheer squad.
The junior high students had to learn a cheer and a chant to be able to try-out for the squad. The members of the new team are eighth graders Maria Chastain, Kira Clements and Braylyn Nadeau, and seventh graders Taylyn Bledsoe, Rhianna Chavez, Kylie Frank, Chloe Flannery, Lydia Fulkerson and Jozie Simcox.
“I think tryouts went well. I think we will have a great squad this year,” said Goerres.
