Last week, the Lady Rams volleyball team faced three opponents and added one win and two losses to their overall record, bringing their regular season record to 23-6 with three games left in the regular season.
The team started their week on Monday, September 25, hosting Northeast Dubois. The Rams won in a sweep against the Jeeps. The scores were 25-11, 25-10, 25-20.
“We played well and had a lot of energy. Personally, I feel like it was one of the best games I’ve played this year,” said senior libero Gracie Brown.
The two losses, unfortunately, came against two PLAC opponents. First, they played Orleans away on Tuesday, September 26, and lost in five sets. The scores were 23-25, 25-18, 25-21, 21-25, 11-15. The Rams then played Springs Valley at home on Thursday, September 28, and lost in three sets. The scores were 23-25, 15-25, 18-25.
“We are coming into this with a lot of energy from the last two losses. We hope to finish this coming week with three more wins on our record,” said senior Faith Gammon.
The Lady Rams now face the Shoals Jugrox at home at 6 p.m. The team will finish their regular season this Tuesday, hosting West Washington for Senior Night and away on Thursday at Tell City.
