The sophomore and AP Engineering students will compete in a competition at Vincennes University Jasper on November 8. Students from the LRCC engineering classes will compete to earn cash prizes. Two teams of four will compete for Paoli. There will be 32 teams competing from various schools. The two teams competing will be Joshua Herd, Kameron Kesterson, Mathew Tedrow, and Jerimiah Hutcheson are the first team. The second team will consist of Jonny Shellenberger, Carson Neal, Odin Gehl, and Oscar Lewellyn
The contest will last from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the tasks are disclosed until the day of the event.
“I think that this is a good experience for the kids, and I think we can win in at least one challenge,” said Engineering Teacher Mable Zehr.
For each challenge, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded and overall winners are awarded $4,000 in cash prizes. There will be free pizza and drinks for the teachers and students competing.
