On Friday, October 13, the Athletic Department will be honoring three groups of people at the last home football game of the season against North Knox at 7 p.m. The recognized groups are the Class of 2024 Senior athletes, the three foreign exchange students, and teachers for Teacher Appreciation Night. Students will be recognized before the start of the game, while the teachers will be recognized right before the game starts.
Trey Rominger and managers Emma McKibbon and Maddi Warren are the students being recognized for football. Gracie Brown, Faith Gammond, Nadia Garcia, Carley Higgins, Ella Spires, Lily Stroud, Abby Tapp, Stella Windhorst, Devon Walton are recognized for volleyball. Representing cross country will be Kaleb Ruth, and for golf will be Micaela MacDonald, and for tennis Jason Beavers. Senior cheerleaders being recognized are Gracie Brown, Jill Coleman, Faith Gammond, Nadia Garcia, Harleigh Poe, and Abby Tapp. Senior members of the Pride of Paoli being recognized are Daniel Adams, Cameron Apple, Braden Campbell, Mark Drzewiecki, Nena Gaona, Trinity Thompson, Liliann Woodsmall, and Lina Zheng.
The three foreign exchange students also honored are Tim Husemeyer for tennis, Jone Iraeta Aristi, and Louise Favre for Cross Country.
The football program will be honoring the teachers. When the football team is walking out, the staff members will walk out with the player they have chosen.
The teachers will receive a t-shirt with the player’s number.
“Teachers play a pivotal role in the lives of our student-athletes, not only teaching them subject matter but helping our players grow as well. We want to recognize them for all that they do to help guide and teach our students,” said Varsity Coach Neil Dittmer.
