On Wednesday, November 1, the annual Speech Contest will return to PHS. The contest will be held in numerous locations throughout the building, with many categories for students to compete in. As usual, students who participate in two categories will earn a spot in the running for the Grand Champion title.
Students who want to participate can perform in categories including poetry, dramatic reading, monologue, or speeches. Those who would like to join with others can attempt the duo categories or the skit category.
The Speech Contest has been a staple of Paoli High School events for decades, and this one will be no exception.
“I think the Speech Contest is an exciting day to see students step up and exceed their own expectations, beyond their fear, and take on something they are extremely nervous about, and it’s fun to see that excitement in the building,” said Speech Contest Coordinator Carol Eubank.
Students interested in signing up to participate can get the link to the Google form from their teacher or use the Google Classroom join code: cv7hkfl.
