Senior Carley Higgins took the show playing running back and scored most of the team’s points.
“It was really fun to get to play and beat everyone again,” said Higgins.
The second game saw the Junior Class take on the Sophomore Class, with the juniors taking the win with a score of 24-0.
The Junior Class was made up of Jae Walker, Lilly Hall, Chloe Smith, Taylor Patton, Avery Crews, and Jerzie Crane and the team was coached by Fletcher Cole, Jaxson Reynolds, Jeremiah Hutcheson, Coy Busick, Ian Drake, and Jareth Nunez. “I think that I helped our team more on offense to help us score and lead us to the championship,” said junior Lilly Hall.
The Championship game had the Seniors and Juniors facing off for the title, with the Seniors again victorious with a score of 30-16. This victory is the second year the Class of 2024 took home the Powder Puff Title after winning last year as juniors.
“Winning again as seniors was an awesome experience. I think all the seniors who participated are already friends, so we work like a well-oiled machine. It was a very fun experience that creates so many memories,” said senior Nadia Garcia.
Tonight, the guys’ Macho Man teams will compete to see which grade will take home the title starting at 7 p.m. in the lower gym. Admission is a donation to the Orange County Humane Society.
