During the November Early Release Day, the annual Speech Contest was held for high school students interested in participating. The event allows students to compete in various categories, ranging from classic poetry to skits. In total, 97 students competed in 16 categories.
After the judges completed their scoring, junior Rhiannon Pinnick was named Reserve Champion, and senior Taisha Robbins was named Grand Champion of the event.
“Considering this will be my last year to compete in Speech Contest, it was such a wonderful moment to win it,” said Robbins.
