On Wednesday, November 8, the Advanced Engineering class took a field trip to Vincennes University Jasper, where they competed in various challenges against 30 other teams from 12 different schools.
Eight challenges ranged from The Egg Drop challenge to the Ping Pong Ball Race for the contestants to complete. The team did not come away with any wins but is looking forward to competing in future competitions and is confident they will do better with their experience now.
“I am proud of them as it was their first time doing something like this, and they competed very well,” said Engineering Teacher Mabel Zehr.
While they were at the competition, the students were also invited to compete in future competitions and other competitions at other locations they plan on attending in the spring.
