The Fellowship of Christian Athletes began hosting a bible study at the end of last school year. The meetings are held on Fridays during homeroom in the Ram Room outside the cafeteria.
Any student in grades 7-12 is welcome to attend. The Bible studies consist of reading different chapters of the bible. This year, they started with the book of John. They read the chapters, and as a group, they break down different parts of the stories and get more in-depth about what they really mean. Word is the theme of this year’s study, decided by FCA member Cannon Lambdin. Lindley and other members of the group led the study. In the study, they split into groups, where each group had different leaders. Lindley and FCA member Jeremiah Hutcheson usually lead one group, and Lamdin and FCA member Mary Cook lead the other. Recently, there have been so many people attending that Cook split into a third group to ensure everyone could discuss their opinions. The Bible study has become very successful since its start last year.
“It has gone really well, there has been a lot of participation. There has also been a lot of discussion that we are still in the chapter of John.“ said Lindley
The FCA always welcomes new members to their club, so even if you can’t attend their meetings, they would still love to see you at their bible studies. If you want to join FCA or go to a Bible study, talk to Mr. Lindley or Cannon Lambdin.
