Paoli High School and Throop Elementary are seeking a replacement position with Youth First for a School Mental Health Professional. Ashley Manship currently holds the position. Manship is leaving Paoli after receiving a promotion.
“I took a Clinical Supervisor position at Youth First. I will be providing training, guidance, and support to Youth First Social Workers in multiple schools across the state,” said Manship.
The Youth First School Mental Health Professional works closely with the respective school environment to provide a multi-tiered system of support that aligns with best practices in public health. The requirements for the position include master’s degree in social work or another license in the mental health field from an accredited university, licensure in social work (LSW/LCSW), marriage and family therapy (LMFT/LMFT-A), mental health counseling (LMHC/LMHC-A) or licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC/LPC) in the state of Indiana, leadership in mental health skills set, ability to interact positively with schools, parents, and students, knowledge of issues surrounding youth and their families, demonstrates cultural competency, basic computer mastery skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and more.
“My hopes for the next social worker is that they will have a strong passion to help in any way they can and continue to build supportive relationships with students, staff, and caregivers throughout the school corporation.,” said Manship.
