In the past eight years, FACS Teacher Danelle Manship has stumbled into a second career that showcases her creative side outside of school.
Manship is the owner of a business called Enid and Elle. Her business includes apparel, hats and laser items. She first sold a wooden sign that teachers Lori and Adam Stroud now own.
Manship started her business in 2015 by accident.
“I had a silhouette machine to make signs for myself and then decided to start making some shirts. I had several people start asking me to make them shirts, and it just snowballed from there,” said Manship.
To run her business, she has a lot of equipment to create her products, including a silhouette, a large printer and cutter known as a BN20A, a sublimation printer, a heat press, a hat press, a tumbler press, and a laser.
Manship’s business has an online store (enidandelle.com) where customers from all over the states order, but mainly Indiana can order her designs. She also has products in several boutiques, including Out of the Attic in Paoli. She also participates in barn markets around southern Indiana, where she sets up her booth with products she has created.
She also creates designs for teams and groups here at PHS.
“It is fun walking around town or school and seeing people wear my shirts,” said Manship.
Her business has had enough success that her profits played a significant role in a recent event in her life.
“I have been able to take more trips and completely pay for my daughter’s wedding without just from my business,” said Manship.
In the future, Manship hopes to downsize the retirement plan by just sticking to apparel and laser items.
