JAG stands for Jobs for America’s Graduates and is a program that helps high school students succeed through graduation. The JAG class has been on five field trips during the first semester and has more planned for this semester.
The students have already visited Indiana University Southeast, Vincennes University, Ivy Tech Sellersburg, French Lick Hotel, and the leadership team went to McCormick State Creek Park.
“These field trips are taken to teach the students more about colleges, employment opportunities, and leadership skills,” said JAG Instructor Katie Cook.
The Jag class will take the next field trip on January 30 to JSI in Orleans, Indiana, and Foamcraft in Mitchell, to learn about their employment opportunities.
