On February 2, a number of Paoli JAG students will be taking a trip to the Career Development Conference at the French Lick Resort. The purpose of this event is to bring all the JAG classes in region 8 together for a day of fun and healthy competition. The students learn that planning and hard work can pay off and they hopefully get to make some new friends along the way.
Last year, the Paoli JAG Program brought home eight trophies and one first place winner, McKali Hedge who went to the State competition.
Over the course of this school year, students who are a part of the JAG program have worked on long-term projects that are based on real-world challenges. Projects such as budget systems, marketing designs, public speaking, and business plans are just a few of the things the JAG students have been working on for this year’s competition. The program had a lot of success last year and received a good number of trophies, but that does not mean they have not looked to improve.
“The goal for this year is for the students to have fun and gain some experience. But also, we would love to take more than one student to the State competition,” said JAG Coordinator Katie Cook. The contests will take place Friday morning and we will know the results that afternoon.
