Prom planning is underway, and anyone interested in wearing a tuxedo may want to check out an opportunity here on campus to schedule a rental.
On March 11-12, Cindy Mcatee from Tux will be in the library to fit anyone interested in renting a tuxedo for this year’s prom. Time slots are available from 3-7 p.m. and interested students can sign up outside of Miya Scott’s classroom. Tux It has been fitting for proms for over eight years, and also does tux rentals for Orleans and Valley schools. Mcatee has books full of tuxedos to choose from and brings many to try on. The company provides name-brand tuxes such as Micheal Kors and Men’s Warehouse. The company also offers shoe rentals.
Scott says the reason the event is offered is simple.
“It is more convenient for parents,” said Scott.
The tuxes will be delivered to the school 1-2 weeks before prom. Students can pick up tuxedos in the library once they are delivered. Once the students finish wearing the tux, they will need to put them back on the hanger and hang them on the rack in the auditorium lobby after prom.
A portion of each rental comes back to the post-prom planning committee. For more information contact Miya Scott [email protected].
