On February 16, students from the health science classes will be traveling to Ivy Tech Bloomington with Health Science Teacher Mara Carrico for a field trip to the campus.
The students will be learning about what options the Bloomington campus has to offer for nursing school.
“I hope they look at what opportunities they have within that driving distance, and that they have a sense of feeling that they will fit in there,” said Carrico.
Junior Josh Zapien is one student going on the trip who is planning a healthcare career as a radiologist.
“I am hoping to get a little hands on experience while on the trip to learn about different skills,” said Zapien.
For more information about the healthcare pathway, contact Carrico for the guidance office.
