One of the most unique and loved activities at Paoli High School, Mr. PHS, is hitting the stage again on Tuesday, March 12. The show begins at 6 p.m. in the Uyesugi Auditorium and tickets will be sold at the door for $5.
Mr. PHS is the annual fundraiser used to raise money for the Prom, held annually since 2013.
This year, 11 contestants will compete in four categories: an onstage question, fitness ability, talent and evening wear. Their coaches and sponsors chose a senior from various sports and activities to represent their group. Throughout each category, the contestants are challenged to show the best in themselves on stage. Their mission is to convince the judges and guests why they should be the 2024 Mr. PHS.
Competing this year are: Cameron Apple for band, Jason Beavers for basketball, Connor Blackwell for Ram Academy, Mark Drzewiecki for Drama, Baiden Kinnaman for Spanish Club, Andrew Kumpf for PHS Media, Raygar Minton for Baseball, Trey Rominger for Football, Kayson Simpson for JAG, McKinley Stewart for NHS and Willson Windhorst for PHS News Today.
Art teacher and Booster Club coordinator Chris Jones has been working with the Junior Class Officers while planning and preparing for the show.
“I am looking forward to putting on a great show for the community to enjoy. I have always enjoyed putting on shows, and I think this will be the best so far,” said Junior Class President Brian Fullington.
Each year, the contestants come up with new and unique ways to impress the crowd. We have never seen the same act more than once. Mr. PHS is a great show to attend to find some entertainment on a Tuesday evening. A massive bonus to the Mr. PHS show is all proceeds go towards the 2024 Prom fund.
