The Engineering students will compete in a competition at Oakland City University on April 12 at 6.30 a.m. (CST). Students from the LRCC engineering classes will compete to earn cash prizes. Two teams of four will compete for Paoli. There will be a lot of teams competing from various schools. The two teams competing will be sophomores Joshua Herd, and Kameron Kesterson, and juniors Matthew Tedrow, and Jeremiah Hutcheson, the first team. The second team will include juniors Jonny Shellenberger, Carson Neal, Odin Gehl, and Oscar Lewellyn.
The contest will last from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; the tasks will be disclosed until the event day.
“In our last competition we didn’t win any prizes but we hope to this time,” said Engineering Teacher Mable Zehr.
For each challenge, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners and the overall winners will be awarded cash prizes from a pool of $3,500. Food and drinks will be given to contestants and teachers.
