The National Honor Society will charter a bus on their annual trip to Nashville, Tennessee, on March 29. The NHS juniors and seniors voted between Nashville, St. Louis, and Chicago and selected Nashville as their destination.
The students raised money through the laundry fundraiser to help fund the trip, but to help with the cost, students must pay $60 by March 15. The students will participate in activities such as going to the music studio where Elvis Presley recorded and line-dancing.
“The annual NHS trip is a reward for those students who have worked hard to keep their grades up and help out in their communities by completing service hours during the school year. The trip to Nashville will allow students to experience a new city, learn about country music (maybe even how to line dance), and let their brains relax a little before AP exams and finals,” said NHS Sponsor Higgins.
The students must arrive at the school by 6 a.m. in the parking lot by the AG barn. Chaperones can also come for an additional $120 (not including the student’s $60). Students are also encouraged to bring extra money for souvenirs and shopping. For more information about the trip, contact Higgins.
