Junior High FCA, also known as Junior High Fellowship of Christian Athletes, is a club for students who want to grow their faith. Junior High math teacher Kyle Chase oversees the club.
The number of members in JH FCA is still not clear since the club just started this school year. FCA will meet three times a month on Fridays. They plan to have Prayer, Bible study, and Fellowship during these times. Chase feels that this club is an important part of being a Christian.
“I sponsored this club because students often feel like they are alone in their walk of faith,” said Chase.
Eighth-grader Gracelyn Hall is a member of this club. She joined because she regularly attends church and wanted to be in a group of people who shared her beliefs. Hall thinks it’s important to share her faith with others who share her beliefs. The group’s activities last year included participating in an egg hunt, eating lunch together, and even shopping for angel tree kids around the holidays.
For more information about the club and how to join, contact Chase at [email protected] or attend one of their meetings.
