With the new football season starting, fans may have noticed a new face on the sidelines and in the press box. Over the summer Aron Busick got the defensive back coaching position with Coach Aaron Hannon moving to coach the linebackers. Busick was first contacted by Coach Neil Dittmer last school year to see if he would like to help coach. Busick was a 2020 graduate and played football for the Rams for 2 years. During his 2 years, he played defensive back, and won a sectional title for his team. After high school, Busick played baseball at Indiana Tech and Oakland City University.
“I wanted to come back to PHS to coach because I enjoyed being a part of the program in high school and coaching allowed me to be involved differently,” said Busick.
Busick also expects to gain some new experience and help the team wherever he can.
“I hope to learn a lot about coaching and teaching athletes. I hope to be able to positively impact the players that I coach and give them a good experience playing football,” said Busick.
When Busick isn’t on the field coaching, he works as an HVAC technician for Busick Mechanical Services. While working for Busick Mechanical he is also taking classes to become a certified HVAC technician at Ivy Tech.
“I wanted to come back to PHS to coach because I enjoyed being a part of the program in high school and coaching allowed me to be involved differently,” said Busick.
If you’d like to see Busick in action you can catch the next football game on Friday, September 28, at Eastern Greene.
