Over the summer, PHS experienced a significant change in the main office. Office Secretary Tara Little became the new Guidance Secretary, and former Registrar Sara Parks became the new LRCC Work-Based Learning Coordinator and Career Coach.
Sara Wellman has now filled the office secretary position, replacing Little.
As Registrar, Little is now responsible for handling enrollments, withdrawals, and transcripts.
Little has taken on many new challenges and unexpected jobs, including learning the ins and outs of the Harmony platform.
“It’s still new, but my confidence level is improving daily,” said Little.
New at the front desk, Wellman has also taken on many new duties. Wellman was previously a resource aide for the Special Education Department and had also worked in the cafeteria.
“I didn’t expect the level of paperwork with this job,” said Wellman.
Changing two positions to the PHS Administration, which supports students and teachers, could have disrupted the school overall. However, these staff members have adapted to their new jobs quickly.
“They are doing great,” said Assistant Principal Adam Stroud.
Parks also has a lot of new duties and has experienced a big change as well.
“I work with Springs Valley, West Washington, and Paoli students. I work with students who have completed their pathway and leave school to work at a job related to their pathway. I also network and connect students to career possibilities,” said Parks.
Parks had to make a big transition and change with her new job.
“The transition has been great so far! My experience at Paoli and knowledge from Paoli have made the transition smooth. I am excited to continue to work with students and staff at Paoli just in a little different way,” said Parks.
All three of these ladies will need to adapt to the changes this year at PHS. They have worked at the PHS facility for multiple years and will do great wherever they are placed. Oval, these three ladies will adapt and make the transition smooth so that they can continue their careers at PHS.
