Leigha Becht was previously a third-grade and sixth-grade math teacher at Throop. This year has moved to PHS, becoming the junior high special education teacher, replacing Toni Wilkinson, the previous special education teacher, who retired last spring.
Becht was offered this position during the summer and wanted a change, and it was exactly what she was looking for, so she accepted the offer.
Becht has been a dedicated teacher for over 25 years to Throop but plans to finish her career at PHS.
“I have loved every minute of being at PHS! The staff is awesome and very helpful! One of my favorite things about being at PHS is no recess duty,” said Becht.
Becht’s goal is to watch her students grow and see how they excel in the future.
