Aaron Hannon has been coaching with the Rams for several sports for several years, with this past year being his 20th year with the high school football team.
He began coaching in 2003 as a junior in college, living in Paoli but commuting from Hanover.
Hannon began when then-head coach Jeff Scaff asked him if he would be interested in helping the football team. Since then, Hannon has enjoyed watching players grow.
“My favorite part of being a coach is watching countless athletes see their success as a result of the work they have put in,” said Hannon.
Throughout his coaching career, Hannon has developed many memories.
“A few of my favorite memories are winning and watching my family interact with players, coaches, and their families. Coaching takes a lot of time, but my family has been fortunate to build some great relationships throughout the last 20 years that continue to this day,’’ said Hannon.
Hannon is now looking forward to winning championships this year and seeing more student-athletes get better and achieve success on and off the field.
Hannon is not sure when his long coaching career will see its final season, but he feels that once he is not enjoying it and his time would be best spent elsewhere, he will be done, but that day is not today.
