The Pride of Paoli Band will travel to Indianapolis to Lucas Oil Stadium this Saturday to compete in the ISSMA State Marching Band Finals. This will be the Pride’s 39th trip to the State Finals, and the band hopes to earn the program’s 16th State title.
“This season has been such a success because of our student’s hard work and love for what they do. I feel very blessed to be leading the band, and we feel confident about giving the best performance of the season at State Finals,” said Band Director Christian Karkosky.
This year’s show, “Inside the Circle,” features soloists seniors Rylee McKenna, Christian Longest, and freshman Andrea Pennington.
Paoli will start their performance first out of 10 bands, each competing in Class D at 10 a.m. When the final Class D band performs, awards will be announced shortly after at 12:30 p.m. Last year, the band placed 10th at the State Finals.
Tonight, the Pride of Paoli will perform their show for a Community Performance at Cook Field at 8 p.m. Anyone in the community is welcome to attend and support the band.
