The Archery Team is accepting members this year for students in grades 4 to 12. It is part of the National Archery in Schools Program and aims to teach students many life lessons required to be a successful person.
The parent and archer meeting is on Thursday, December 5, from 6:30 to 7 p.m. in the upper gym. During this meeting, the coaches plan to go over important information for both the archers and parents, including the practice schedule, tournament schedule, emergency card, rules and regulations, and archer dues.
Head Coach Amanda Bowles recently began coaching just last year and is eager to get back to coaching once again.
“I have learned a lot from last year and I have big ideas for this year. We are hoping to qualify for state competition at the beginning of February and maybe recruit new archers,” said Bowles. Anyone is welcome to try it out to see if they like it and we would love to have as many students as possible.”
If you have any further questions, you can contact Bowles at (812) 653-9599.
