While most teachers relax and enjoy their weekends off, Resource Aid Carson Little spends his free time in the woods making YouTube videos.

Little runs his YouTube channel with his brother-in-law, Charles Adams. “Don’t Blink Outdoors,” which documents the pairs’ hunting adventures, has gained a slight following in recent years, accumulating 7000 views on one video and obtaining over 1000 views for every video.

We started it because Charles’ grandpa is really big into coon hunting and he’s not able to get out in the woods anymore and go check on the dogs like he used to. So we did that just starting off to where he could watch it in his free time,” said Little.

Little created his YouTube channel in the fall of 2023. Adams is the leading man in the videos, while Little tends to stay behind the camera. In their videos, Adams and Little film lots of their raccoon hunts.

Since beginning their channel, Adams and Little have hunted nationwide, including in Mississippi, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee. While in Mississippi for a raccoon hunt, Little and Adams got a sponsorship from Dogtra, the number one dog tracking collar company.

The place where little had earned his sponsorship with Dogtra the number one dog tracking collar company.

“We kind of lucked into the sponsor. We were down in Mississippi at one of the world hunts and we talked to a guy that was there at the booth for Dogtra we got lucky enough to apply and he said yeah, we like your work and we think we could both have a successful business partnership with this,” said Little.

Although it seems as if Little might have a perfect hobby, it has its ups and downs.

The best part about the filming of the YouTube videos is definitely just getting out in the woods and just hanging out with friends and family and looking back on it. This is gonna be there for the rest of your life. As long as that channel’s there,” said Little.

Although the YouTube video could be 20 minutes long, it could take around 3 hours to edit. That’s the worst part about it, said Little.

Next, the YouTubers plan to start filming the deer hunting trips they go on to expand the content of their channel.

“Hey, people are kind of like this. So we started putting a little bit more effort into it, and right now all we have is Coon Hunts on the channel, but hopefully these upcoming days we’re able to get a deer hunter or two on video,” said Little.

Little’s goal for the channel is to keep growing his viewers.

“I’d like to have a video, that gets over 10,000 views. We’ve got one with seven right now, and for a YouTube channel with 300 subscribers, mainly friends and family, it’s subscribed to. Having 7,000 views is pretty good advice for somebody trying to get into it. Just do it and figure it out along the way,” said Little.
