Sunday, November 17, the band held their banquet for the end of the marching band season.
At this banquet, there was an auction and awards ceremony, and the students came together for the last time in their 2024 season.
The auction featured the awards and trophies from the 2023 marching band season. The money raised will support the upcoming Winter Guard and Winter Percussion seasons.
After the auction, band members and guests moved to the auditorium to watch the Pride’s Inside The Circle performance one last time. Students were given awards, and each band section was recognized for participating this season.
Individual awards were given to the following students:
Ella Grunden, Noraa Wise, Josslyn Grunden, and Tyler Baumgardner, Most Improved
Camden Porter and Brooke Goller, Outstanding New Member
Arah Brinkman, Cheyenne Carter, and Ava Middleton, Outstanding Color Guard
Andrea Pennington, Christian Longest, Rylee McKenna, and Lainee Cox, Outstanding Musician
Tyler Drzewiecki, Conner Bowman, Marshall Fahey, and Katie Apple, Outstanding Marcher
Brynlee McKenna and Hayden Dixon, Mental Attitude
Sophia Frost and Natalie Dalton, Outstanding Rookie
Nathaniel Dixon, Grit award
Each section earned its own awards for simply participating in the 2024 season.
All students also got an award for being a part of Bands of America.
“The season was so much fun because we got to do it together,” said Band Director Christian Karkosky. “Everyone contributed to our success and made the process enriching. The show was our outlet to express ourselves and be authentic, and I think we did an excellent job at that.”
