This year, the Paoli Jr. Sr. Prom will be held in the lower gym on Saturday, April 26. The theme will be “Stormy Seas and Starry Nights”, featuring pirate and deep sea decor. The junior class and the PHS Art Department will create and set up all the decor. Junior Class Sponsor and head of the Art Department Chris Jones will manage the Prom and work alongside students to create a successful event.
“I think our theme has a specific personality but it is also broad enough for some very unique and interesting decorations,” said Jones.
On Thursday, April 3, there will be a meeting during homeroom for juniors and seniors. This will be to pass out Prom Invitations and discuss behavior requirements for the event. Tickets will go on sale April 7 and cost $10 for seniors and $40 for juniors and any other guests. Guests must be in grades 9-12 or graduated and can not be 21 or older. If you plan to bring a guest to Prom, you must stop by the school office to grab a guest pass, which must be filled out before attending the dance.
After Prom will be held immediately after the dance until 2 a.m. in the upper gym. At After Prom, there will be many activities, including a photobooth, one inflatable obstacle course, laser tag equipment and course, bingo, a comedic hypnotist show, and prize drawings. The Lions Club will provide pizza, chips, and drinks, and there will also be the option for cotton candy. Attending students can pick from any activities, but they must attend the hypnotist show starting at 12:30 and ending at 1:30. Following the show will be a prize drawing, which will wrap up After Prom.
