Senior Jacob Cundiff has always been someone who loves football. Since the days of Youth Football, Cundiff has been involved. Cundiff has been known as a great friend to the players and someone who works hard to make himself better every day. Although Cundiff had such an impact on Paoli Football, he will never again be known as Jacob Cundiff to his teammates.
During his freshman year, Cundiff was gifted with the nickname “Biscuit” and it has stuck with him ever since.
“I got the nickname ‘Biscuit’ because I really like biscuits and gravy,” said Cundiff. “Coach Balsmeyer saw that my freshman year and has called me Biscuit ever since.”
Although it is not the meanest sounding nickname in the world, Jacob has gotten to like it.
“It’s kind of like my actual name now,” he says. “Thats what everybody calls me.”
Cundiff signifies his nickname to the only sports team he is affiliated with here at Paoli: the football team. He loves football and plays both offensive and defensive line.
“My favorite part about football is playing on Friday nights,” said Cundiff.
Although Cundiff loves Football Fridays, he knows his time playing football will eventually come to an end.
“I’m going to miss everything about my team,” said Cundiff. “They really mean a lot to me.”
Once Jacob’s career ends he knows he will have many exciting memories from the time he’s spent with the team.
“The one thing I’ll remember the most is running fullback for a two-point conversion,” he said. “I got to rub that in Tristan’s face for awhile.”
After high school, Jacob plans on going to college for welding. In the future he plans on returning to Paoli and starting a family and a career in welding.
