On Saturday February 27, community members are coming together to piece together comforters in the PHS auditorium.
Comforters provide both warmth and a message to displaced peoples and those recovering from natural disasters that their needs are not forgotten.
The handmade blankets will be distributed locally and through MCC (Mennonite Central Committee), an international relief organization.
No experience is necessary; women, men, youth groups, friends and family are invited.
The event is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. If interested, you may come and help for 20 minutes, two hours or as long as volunteers can participate. All help will be much appreciated.
If you intend to be there over lunchtime, bring a snack lunch. Drinks, vegetables and desserts will be provided. If you have any questions, call Gail Brown at 812-653-8224.
