Speech contest is a compilation of readings, performances, and memorization in pursuit of a placing. This year, Speech Contest will be on Wednesday, April 6 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Placings will be announced the following Friday.
Categories involve classic poetry, narrative poetry, humorous poetry, dramatic monologue, humorous monologue, dramatic duo, humorous duo, Bible reading, dramatic reading, inspirational reading, humorous reading, oratorical, original speech, and an informative technology presentation.
Each category has a different guideline for entry. To join, talk to your English teacher or Ms. Fullington before Spring Break.
