Tim Husemeyer is a sophomore foreign exchange student from Germany who is a member of the Varsity Tennis Team this year. Here is a little bit about Husemeyer and his experience on the team.

Q: Do you play doubles or singles? 

A: Doubles.


Q: What’s your record so far this year? 

A: 2-2.


Q: What teammate do you look up to? 

A: Jonny Shellenberger.


Q: What’s your goal for this year? 

A: Earn a varsity position this year.


Q: What’s your favorite school to play?

A: Clarksville.


Q:  What’s your favorite pregame meal? 

A: Mexican food.


Q: How is tennis different here from Germany? 

A: In Germany, we play on clay courts.


Q: What’s the difference between clay courts and asphalt courts? 

A: Clay courts you can slide better, but your shoes and socks get dirty after every game or practice.


Q: What part of your game are you trying to improve? 

A: Serving


Q: What are you trying to learn from here to take back with you to Germany? 

A: The bonding and how close I am with my teammates.
