FCA to host first-ever “Fields of Faith” on Cook Field
This Wednesday, October 11, at 6:30 p.m., The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will host its first-ever “Fields of Faith” event at Cook Field. It will be open to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend.
Fields of Faith is an evening to gather together and encourage one another through worship, prayer, scripture, and testimonies. This year’s Fields of Faith theme is “Greater” derived from John 3:30. The evening will consist of yard games and food, followed by worship music led by students junior Mary Cook, sophomore Cannon Lambdin, and eighth grader Vanessa Thacker.
Fields of Faith will also be a time for students to share their testimonies or stories of how Jesus Christ changed their lives. People attending will have the opportunity to share impactful scriptures and pray for one another throughout the evening.
Graham Jones, youth minister at Paoli Christian Church, will be the guest speaker for Fields of Faith and encourage students to go all in for Jesus and read the Bible. Jones will also give outdoor prizes, including a Nintendo Switch and Apple Airpods.
The evening will end with gathering around the football field and saying a closing prayer and an invitation to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior — many students from PHS, Orleans, Springs Valley, and beyond plan to attend Fields of Faith. Be there or be square!
