Junior High Sets Stem in Motion

This year, a new club has been started for junior high students focused on promoting STEM. The STEM Club is for students interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Eighth-grade Science Teacher Lori Stroud is the sponsor of the club.

The club’s most recent project was to design Christmas ornaments on a website called TinkerCad and print the ornaments in the STEM lab using the 3-D printer.

“The club’s goal is to give students extra opportunities to experience science, technology, engineering, and math,” said Stroud.

The STEM club plans to meet with the junior members this semester.

Senior, Lilly Hall, is a member of the Paoli High School Varsity Girls Basketball Program, the PHS Booster Club, and she is also a member of the High School Student Council. When Hall is not spending her time in school, she likes to attend church, go to work, and hang out with her friends. Hall is juggling her life plans, after graduating from high school, however, she has decided to do something involving animals. In Hall’s opinion, Texas Roadhouse is the place to go for dinner because “the rolls are the best thing.”

Hi, I'm Olivia McSpadden! This past year I was the photo editor for the yearbook and one of the main sports photographers. This year I'm the Chief Photographer and the Facebook Editor. With the Chief Photographer position, I have a heavy hand in the selection of pictures in the Hillcrest Yearbook, Paolite Newspaper, and all of our social media accounts. In addition to this I'm also over the gallerists of Paoli Media, so every time someone takes an event they make a gallery and captions, and then I post it on Facebook for the public to see!
