The annual Student Council Spoon Tag competition will begin next week and run until a final tag occurs and a winner is announced. Last year, foreign exchange student Elena Carmona won the spoon tag game.
To play the game, students must purchase a bracelet to enter themselves into the game. The last day to purchase your bracelet is this Friday, Feb. 9, during homeroom. The cost to enter is $3. Anyone in grades 9-12 can participate, including staff.
Students playing the game will be given a target to tag out that person. Each player will have a bracelet that can protect from a tag but cannot be worn at all times.
“Spoon Tag is a fun game that the students look forward to. We like to do it about this time every year to break up the time between now and Spring Break,¨said Student Council Sponsor Alexis Speer.
Last year, roughly about 107 people participated in the competition. Contact Student Council Sponsors Alexis Speer or Miya Scott for more information.
