The 2024 volleyball season has begun. This season, the team is led by four seniors: Chloe Smith, Jerzie Crane, Keeley Scott, and Jericho Hopper.
Senior Chloe Smith is hoping her leadership skills are serving the team.
“I know many people on the team look up to me which makes me try my best. I think I have a positive impact on the team and the way we play,” said Smith.
Some seniors may say they feel no change when they are seniors in sports. Others say it makes them feel a lot of pressure.
“I think this season is very different now that I am a senior because I have a greater leadership role on the team than in the past, and it is taking some getting used to,” said Scott.
Senior Jerzie Crane has played for many years and feels her leadership ability has come a long way.
“I feel like I have improved on being a better team player and a better leader,” said Crane.
Senior Jericho Hopper is in her first season with the Lady Rams. She joined to try something new and help grow a bond for basketball.
“I think I am doing well, I am learning as I go, and I am putting in the work and the effort, I am cheering on my teammates, bringing high energy for my team. I have got to play a couple of games so far and I cannot wait until I have earned the right to play more consistently in the line-up,” said Hopper.
