Senior Jaxson Reynolds committed to Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. Reynolds announced he will continue his athletic and academic career at Taylor University on December 14, 2024.
He will be going to play football for the Trojans and also study to get a Chiropractic degree.
“It was a long process. It started about my sophomore year. I knew I wanted to play college football and just talking with my dad, I knew there were a lot of things we had to do. We had to really play the game,” said Reynolds.
Reynolds also said he had to go to camps to make video highlights. He went to the spring games and is trying to improve daily.
“It was hard to pass up with their cost. They made it very affordable, giving me some scholarship money, and being a private school, they’re a little bit more expensive, but just through different scholarships, athletic and academic,” said Reynolds. “And then, as I said, I went on campus that I guess three times now and I really like what the coach is doing. I really like the dorms, really like, I really think I can grow with my faith there. And that stuff really meant a lot to me. It’s also the highest level I think I could play at. They’re NAIA, and they’re pretty successful.”
Reynolds has many people who believe in him, including Coach Neil Dittmer.
“I’m very proud of the work that he put in, and he’s been dedicated to wanting to further his career at the next level since he was a freshman, and he’s gone out and earned that,” said Dittmer.
After high school, Reynolds has his college life planned out, and he knows what he has to go through to sign up to finish his commitment at Taylor University. He says
Reynolds plans to have a signing to Taylor later in the spring.
