The Paoli Rams will host the 46th annual Sectional starting this week.
The team’s regular-season record is 21-2, and according to John Harrell’s Sectional rankings, it is projected to be the favorite heading into the tournament. On Friday, the Rams also captured the PLAC title with their defeat of Crawford County.

“Our team is in a good place right now. Sometimes, at this point in the season, lots of guys are ready for the season to end and move on to the next chapter in their lives. Sometimes, they are ready for the next sport, they look forward to getting a job and making some money, and sometimes, they are just tired and ready for a break. This year feels different,” said Head Coach Dusty Cole. “All of our guys are still working hard and encouraging each other. I think guys want to continue playing and even enjoy practice time together. We all enjoy being around one another and want to continue playing as long as possible. Our kids are also very confident and feel like we have a good chance to win every game we play in. These guys expect to win and are used to winning. The mental side of things are so important and we really like where this team is.”
The first round begins on Tuesday, March 4, with the Salem Lions facing the Mitchell Bluejackets at 7 p.m. The first opponents the Rams will face are the Crawford County Wolfpack. The game will start at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5.
“Obviously, we got a favorable draw with a couple of the top teams on the opposite side of the bracket, but we are well aware that anything can happen during these games. We constantly talk about the next play and the next game. We don’t want to look ahead. Our attention to detail is very good, and this team is good at making adjustments on the fly. It feels like everyone is locked in and ready to go,” said Cole.
