The end-of-year junior high dance, Morp, will be held in the cafeteria on May 9. The dance will start at 6 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. The Junior High Student Council plans the event with the help of Sponsor Mariah Buchanan. Lydia Fulkerson is the president of the Junior High Student Council.

Morp is a reward for junior high students. It is similar to Prom, but just for junior high students. During the afternoon half of the school day on May 9, student council members and Buchanan will begin preparing and setting up the decorations in the cafeteria. This year’s theme is Get up and Glow.
“We looked back on ideas from past Morp, we came up with new ideas, then we voted on a theme,” said Fulkerson.
All junior high students interested in attending Morp must purchase a ticket for $10 starting May 5. Upon entering the dance, students will find decor, dancing, and light refreshments available.
Contact Buchanan or any junior high student council member for more information about the dance.
