The Class of 2025 is counting down the days to Graduation, but before that day arrives, all seniors must attend many events and activities.
All obligations should be dealt with by May 15. These obligations include, but are not limited to, book fees, assignments, detentions, and library books.
Teachers must finalize all senior grades on Monday, May 19. Assignments cannot be turned in after May 19.
This year, graduation practice is on Wednesday, May 21, at 8 a.m. Graduation practice is required to walk the stage on Graduation Day. Later this day, the senior class will walk the Throop halls, have the senior cookout, and the top 10 will meet for radio interviews. Also on May 21, at 1 p.m., PHS will host the annual Senior Honors Day. All seniors must be lined up outside the auditorium by 12:45 p.m. This is a change from years past, when the event was held in the evening.
The next day, all seniors will get the day off from school, including those attending the Senior Trip to Holiday World.
Saturday, May 24, the Graduation ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Seniors should be fully dressed and ready for commencement by 9:15 a.m. in the cafeteria. All seniors need to be sure to have their cap, gown, and tassel. This year, the only regalia to be worn are the top ten, who will wear a gold stole, National Honor Society members will wear gold tassels, and students graduating with the ICC will wear a white honor chord. The only other regalia allowed is if a student is committed to the military and awarded regalia by their branch of service. NO other regalia from any club is to be worn.
After the ceremony, gowns should be immediately returned to the school. After returning your gown, graduates will receive their diplomas. Students may keep the cap and tassel.
